

She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Virgil Anjos and Amelia Silva.
Barbara graduated from Union High School in 1948 in Union, New Jersey. She worked as a comptometer
operator for a large grocery chain, and a bookkeeper at Hilltop Herb Farm in Cleveland, Texas.
Barbara was a member of the CCW, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Boy Scouts of America, and
president of the Jersey Club, Mahjongg. Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm
Bay where she served as a Eucharistic Minister to the sick.
Barbara was a mother of five and fostered 43 children over 29 years while residing in Texas. She was
active for over 35 years in scouting in New Jersey and Texas, and lovingly known as “Go Go Grama”.
She is survived by Charles A. her husband of 61 years, her daughters Mary Ellen Sullivan of Palm Bay,
Maureen Weigold of South Carolina, sons, Michael Cameron of Palm Bay, Mark Cameron of Tarpon
Springs, FL, Matthew Cameron of Louisville, KY, and Bryon Bowers of Austin, Texas, 16 grandchildren, 14
great-grandchildren and a brother Theodore Anjos of Tennessee.
