Born in Hutchinson, Kansas, Betty Jean shared 65 years married to her beloved late husband John McDaniel there. They lived in Kansas until 1988 and then relocated to Florida to be near family.
Betty will be remembered for her caring and giving personality, beautiful smile and contagious laughter. She enjoyed collectibles Delft & Dutch figurines, and her Teacup Yorkie, "Tiny". Betty worked in the Hutchinson School District cooking for the elementary school children and earlier she managed inventory and purchasing at a local drug store in Hutchinson.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Alvis, three grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole, and Heather; and three great grandchildren, Kaylin, Rylan, and Liam. The family has always been close and Betty Jean was the world to Pamela and Pamela was the world to Betty Jean and John.
