Bobby R. Bourne

Bobby departed this life for eternal rest at his home in West Melbourne, FL. Bobby was born February 17, 1940 in Pocahontas, VA to Harold and Margaret Bourne. After graduating from Graham High School in Bluefield, VA, Bobby joined the Army in 1957. He joined the Air Force after his tour with the Army was completed, and eventually settled in West Melbourne. He worked as an installer, then supervisor with Western Electric/AT&T before retiring in 1994. He was active for many years with West Melbourne/Eau Gallie Youth Athletics as a coach, umpire, referee and parent. In his retirement, he enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends, especially his McDonald's coffee group.

Bobby leaves to mourn his passing two daughters Kim (Arne) Aamodt of Friendswood, Texas and Renee (Joel) Otero of Satellite Beach, FL.; four grandchildren Kristin, Erika, Sara and Ryan, brother Charles (Leatha) Bourne of Melbourne, FL, sister Jean (Roy) Yopp of South Shores, KY, and a large extended family. Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Bourne, his parents, sister Bettie, and brothers Buddy and Jerry Bourne. Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Fountainhead Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation beginning at 5:00 with services to follow at 6:00 pm.
