Cecil Leon Miller, 77, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home. Cecil was born in Aboukir, Saint Ann’s, Jamaica and came to Florida in 1999 from New York. In New York Cecil worked Simon and Schuster books at their distribution center. He was a member of Palm Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ivy Miller, his sons Michael Miller of New York, Elvis Miller if Jacksonville, and Eric Miller of New York, his daughters Cynthia Miller of New York, Dionne Miller of New York, his brothers Bernard Reid and Ainsley Reid, and his sisters Ena Rose, Joyce Aikens, Norma Rose Gloria Miller, Sylvan Reid, Fay Rowe and Distny Vincent. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Eric Charles Miller and Adina Shettlewood Miller, and his brothers Dervent Miller and Claston Reid.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Fountainhead Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Palm Bay Seventh Day Adventist Church.
