

Constance "Ann" Gordon (nee Yeatman), 86, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on March 13, 2024. She was born on September 21, 1937, in Washington, D.C. Ann was a proud Army wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and loved spending time with them.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Brigadier General (USA RET) Dudley J. Gordon, her sons Jack (Jane) and Michael (Melissa), grandchildren Katie Burk (Kevin), Shannon, Matthew, Abby, and great-granddaughters Delaney and Erin Burk, along with her youngest brother John Yeatman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence M. and Henri H. Yeatman, and younger brother Clarence "Hank" Yeatman.
Ann attended Falls Church High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad, crowned Homecoming Queen and was elected secretary of the senior class. After high school she pursued her education at Washington School for Secretaries. Upon graduation Ann went to work for the US Government at Arlington Hall Station where she met the love of her life, a young Lieutenant named Dud Gordon. They were married in November 1957 and their Army adventures began. They traveled the United States and lived in Germany for 6 years, moving every 2 years on average. Ann was instrumental in the support of Dud's Army career and was known to put on receptions for hundreds of people. Dud and Ann retired to Melbourne in 1986 and enjoyed the Florida lifestyle and being Mimi to her 4 grandchildren and Great-Mimi to her 2 great-granddaughters.
A celebration of Ann's life will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home located at 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
