Doloretta M. Austin

Doloretta Austin (Stolo) "Honey", 87 years old of Rome, NY passed away with her family by her side on October 15th, 2016 in West Melbourne, FL. She was born in Oriskany, NY on July 20, 1929, the daughter of the late James and Alvira Cervo Stolo. People that knew her and loved her called her "Honey", "Del", "Gram" or "Granola". She was a graduate of Oriskany Central School. She liked to read, crochet, do puzzles and cook. She was best known for her Italian Christmas Anise cookies and her Christmas trees made of wire clothes hangers.

As the wife of Bert Austin "Bummie" they were married for 58 years until he passed in December of 2006. They moved to Florida from NY in 1964 to raise their 4 kids and to give them a better life. She worked in the electronic manufacturing industry. They spent their weekends cooking, gardening and spending time with their family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sisters; Marie Lawless, Violet Finster, Gloria Budlong her husband Bob, Donna Adams husband Ray. Her brothers; James Stolo Jr, Ronald W. Stolo, Robert W. Stolo and sister-in-law Patricia Stolo. Her daughters; Diane Fish husband Lee, Sandra Grochow , her sons; Bert Austin Jr. wife Catherine, Robert Austin. Her grandkids; Scott Austin, Tina Sinclair husband Mark, Michael Shank wife April, Robert Austin wife Jessica, Cristina Austin, Tiffany Fish, Danielle Brannon husband Robert. Also her great grandkids; Dylan Herring, Ethan Horn, Scott Sinclair wife Alex, Kevin Sinclair, Jordan Swindle, Austin Swindle, Nico Austin, Ashley Shank, Jamie Shank, Michael Shank, Summer Shank, Cole Shank, Zeke Austin, Zander Austin, Skylar Austin. Also several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bert Austin, sister's; Lucille Stolo, Alvera Prather, Rose Gualtieri, brothers; Joseph Stolo, Anthony Stolo, brothers-in-law; Donald Lawless, Rosario Gualtieri, Paul Finster, sisters-in-law; Phyllis Stolo, Vicki Stolo, Suzanne Stolo, Robin E. Mills, Granddaughter Tawyna Austin, son-in-law William Grochow.

Funeral arrangements are Friday October 21st, 2016 at 10am at Fountainhead Memorial at 7359 Babcock St, S.E. Palm Bay, FL 32909.
