Mr. Edlie Percival Smith was born on November 12, 1926, in Seaforth, Jamaica, and grew-up in Kingston. He later went to live in Finsbury Park, London. He moved to the Bronx, New York and later to Ocala, Florida. Edlie spent the remainder of his life in Palm Bay, Florida. Edlie passed away peacefully February 15, 2026, at the age of 99.
Edlie is survived by his wife and survived by his children Pansy Rayson, Norman Smith, Gary Smith, Dawn Medley. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and relished time with all his family. Edlie enjoyed the beach, especially the lovely ones in his native Jamaica.
A Visitation will be held at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, Florida, Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm; and a Memorial Service will follow at the same location, beginning at 2:00pm.
Inurnment will take place at Fountainhead Memorial Park, also Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 3:00pm-4:00pm.
