Mrs. Turner was born in Rockville, CT and came to Florida in 1983. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne and was active with the Holy Trinity Thrift Shop as well as the St. Joanna’s Guild, St. Margaret’s Guild and the Keenagers. Emily was an avid golfer and an expert scrabble player.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband John. She is survived by her sons, David Turner of Sarasota, FL, and Russell Turner of Harpswell, ME, her sister Emma Oleksinski of Boynton Beach, FL and grandson John Gabriel Turner.
Funeral services will be at 2p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
