14 February, 1953 – 22 January, 2023

IN THE CARE OF
Fountainhead Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Epifanio Colón, Jr., 69 years old, departed this life on January 22, 2023, at
Palm Bay Community Hospital. He was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico, to Francisca and the late Epifanio Colón Sr. He was raised in Alphabet City on the lower East Side of New York and attended Columbia University, N.Y., for Aviation Engineering. He was known as a fierce protector of his five siblings and worked hard to help provide for his family. He was renowned throughout the neighborhood for his Conga playing and Salsa dancing and eventually made his home in Palm Bay, Florida.
He was an extraordinary man, father, and partner. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing congas, dancing Salsa, watching documentaries, and fishing. He will be most remembered for his unconditional love, ability to invent useful things, intelligence, tight hugs, charming smile, and, most of all, his compassion, forgiveness, and selflessness.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory Zalia Colón, his children Jason Williams, Gisela Crichlow, Lauren Pinckney, Rafael Cartagena, Tanya Ozkan, Jessica Colón, beautiful grandchildren, Alyiah, Isaiah, Juliah, Micaiah, Xavier, Isabella, Leyani, Lennox, Maxwell, Taylor, Xavier, Alexyss, Tatyana, Jaydah, his great-grandchildren Kyiah, Jeremiah, and Eliana, his siblings Carmen, Ivette, Raul, Lillian, Milagros, his mother Francisca B. Colón and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Papi/Dad/Papa/Epi, we love you always and forever.
