Gilda was born in Homestead, Florida on October 21, 1959 to John and Lillian Calautti. She married her love, Bill Morath on January 23, 1993 for a beautiful 25 years of marriage. Faith was always a strong and driving force for her at Our Lady of Grace until she was called home. With her passing brought so many emotions, mainly for a soul that left us too soon. Gilda was a spit fire Italian woman who could brightly light up the world with her laugh and smile. Her life wasn’t always easy, but each battle she fought with dignity and grace.
Gilda is survived by her husband Bill Morath, sons Fred Roach and William Morath, and daughters Sophia Franco and Samantha Roach. Gilda’s life wouldn’t have been complete without her sister Lorraine Staggenborg, husband Jerry Staggenborg, daughter Shelly, nephew John Spisiak, wife Sara Spisiak, children Amilaya, John, Izabella, daughter-in-law Jennifer Roach, and son-in-law Tyson Franco. A truly amazing family legacy that will continue to make her eternally proud.

“Death is the easy part, the hardest part is for those who are left behind”
Gilda’s family asked, ”Please spend time with your family, cherish every minute, and live life’s moments to the fullest. That is what Gilda would wish for you.”
