

Harry W. Gruenthal, age 81, of Melbourne passed away on October 27. 2016 and is now in Heaven in the loving hands of God. He was born on March 14, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Carl Gruenthal and Francis Black Gruenthal. He served as a New York City Police Officer for over 25 years and after retiring he moved to Florida where he enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends especially his beloved ROMEOs. Harry had a strong faith and was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Harry was preceded in death by his beloved son Michael Gruenthal. He is survived by his wife Noreen Gruenthal, his son and daughter-in-law Dan & Amy Gruenthal of East Hampton, NY, his son and daughter-in-law Bill & Lulu Gruenthal of Bolingbrook, IL, his daughter and son-in-law Noreen & John Lynch of Middle Village, NY, his son Jim Gruenthal of Astoria, NY, his son and daughter-in-law Tom & Lisa Gruenthal of Surfside Beach, SC, his daughter Susan Gruenthal of Astroia, NY, his sister Phyllis Gruenthal of Florida, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909 on Sunday, October 30 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, FL 32935.
