Jackson Homer Thompson, 78 of West Melbourne passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Melbourne. Jackson was born in Sod, West Virginia on July 30th, 1939. He and his wife and two daughters moved to Florida in the early 1960's. Jack had worked for Florida Institute of Technology for 35 years.
He is survived by his two daughters Cindy Rosenberry and Christine Holmes, sister Shelby Wines, brother Arthur "Pooch" Thompson. Jack has five grandchildren Shirl Cheetham, Jason Lane, Kristopher Rasmussen, Roxie Rasmussen, Brittany Rosenberry. Jack has five great grandchildren Cheyanne and Anthony Cheetham, Jae'Qwan and Ja'Cori Humes, and Jordin Lane.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, Tuesday, December 26, with funeral services at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Fountainhead Memorial Park.
