James Burns, USMC GySgt Ret., passed away peacefully on February 5, 2022 thanks to the care and attention of the medical staff at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay. He was born in Queens, NY in 1930. He joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country for 23 years. After retirement from the USMC, he worked for the State of Florida, then Melbourne High School for another 12 years.
James is survived by his wife Kiyomi M. Burns, sons James (Grace Fong) and John (Meghan Doherty), and daughter Mie Corry. He lived a wonderful and full life, which included cherished visits from his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
