Dear daddy, it has been almost a year since i lost you...the pain has not gotten any better and it never will. ..i love you with all my heart ...if only i could hear your voice one more time

Robin-both Rebecca and myself were disappointed to hear of Jay's passing just after we had left Palm Colony to return home to Canada for the summer months. We had enjoyed his wit and humour for several years as his downstairs neighbor during the winter months and although it is a sad experience to see one go, it is with the knowledge that he is in a better place and his troubles are long behind him. It will not be the same without him as a neighbor but you know that he was a well respected man, was always spoken of highly in the Palm Colony community and I feel certain enjoyed his life. He will be missed by all.

Papa- *Cabbage head* -you have been a bright star for so many lives, more than you know. I love your granddaughter like a sister and have so many wonderful memories with you through her. You and Nana played surrogate grandparents to a few of us, and your passing has left ripples in each pond, each life you touched. You are still loved, CabbageHead, your grumpy-old-man act always fell through as soon as you broke into a big grin. I'm glad you and Nana are reunited (I can't even imagine the theological discussions you'll be having now!).
In your Angel spare time please continue to watch over Robin, Bryce, Adrian, and cousin Lori and her family. Robin, in particular, for allowing me to meet you perhaps 30 or so years ago. Papa, you've left a loving legacy, and that is no small thing.

Robin, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I was blessed with the opportunity to have met and inter act with your Grandfather a few times. Whenever you saw he was sad, all you had to do was mention your name Robin and his eyes lit UP!! He truly loved you! For as long as you keep your grandfather in your heart he will never be gone. Words cannot even express what you mean to me.  You have been there for me my entire life, the one constant male figure I had in my life.  No matter what I did, you never abandoned me. I love you so much and I know that you are in a much better place but I miss you more than I can say.  My rock is gone and I don't know how to move forward with you and Nanny.
