Kenneth was born July 21, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of William Waldron and Eleanor Meyer, he had no brothers or sisters.
Ken started working in a meat market on Long Island, NY at a young age. His love for the deli business led him to work for Long Island's best local delis' where he learned the business, eventually opening his own deli. Ken had plenty of stories of how he "waited on" many celebrities, such as Alan Alda, Howard Cosell and Billy Joel to name a few. He loved serving people.
Ken brought his family to Brevard County in 1979, where he opened the Downtowner Restaurant that same year. The Downtowner was a downtown Melbourne staple for 20 years, loved by many locals and had many memorable "Regulars" Ken loved to work hard and serve the people of Melbourne.
Ken is survived by his two sons, Keith (wife Jessica) and Kevin (wife Rebecca). Ken had very athletic grandchildren, Kalen (Ice Hockey), Aidan (Soccer) and Logan (Soccer) He was very proud of all of them. Later in his retirement, Ken met a companion, Todd, which helped tremendously in the last few years of Ken's life.
Ken enjoyed his dog "Buddy", watching NASCAR, the Tampa Bay Rays and Orlando Magic. Ken also loved working in his yard, taking care of his many plants, trees and he always had a great looking lawn.
Ken will be missed very much by those who got to spend any time with him over his lifetime. We all love you and will remember you always.
