Marie F. Carleton, 93, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at William Child’s Hospice House. Marie was born in Detroit Michigan and came to Brevard County in 1976 after living in Lincoln Park, Michigan for over 30 years.
Marie was very proud of her role as school secretary at Lincoln Park High School, where she worked for over 20 years.
In her spare time Marie was an avid golfer and accomplished three hole-in-ones! In addition to golf she enjoyed traveling with her late husband Charles. In their travels they visited China, Russia, the Middle East, England, Ireland and Italy.
Marie is survived by her son Jim and his wife Carol of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; her daughter Joyce Zoelner and her husband Bud of Jacksonville, FL; her sister Irene Starr of Melbourne; grandchildren Christine, Jimmy, Patrick, and Martha; and six great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 2p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Pam Bay.
