

Nancy Lynne Murner Rush, 84, of Palm Bay, Florida died peacefully at Shangri-la Assisted Living Home in Melbourne, Florida at 11:06 on July 12, 2022. Nancy was born June 9, 1938 in Washington, PA, to Harry and Nellie Mae Allen Murner. Nancy was married to Robert Rush on January 14, 1981 in Washington, PA. They enjoyed traveling and lived in several states before settling in Palm Bay in 1990.
Nancy was known for her sense of humor, love of children and dogs (especially Batman), her kindness, and hospitality. She was quick to offer her assistance to anyone who had a need. One of Nancy's favorite things was having breakfast at Dottie's Restaurant almost every day for several years. She made many friends among the staff and customers
The family would like to thank the following: Nancy's friends and neighbors for their kindness, and being so helpful to her for the past few years. The staff at Shangri-La of West Melbourne ALF for the loving care they gave Nancy and the sensitivity shown to her family during the time she was at their home. We are very grateful. The caregivers from Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice & Palliative Care for making her last days as comfortable and pain free as possible. The concern and compassion shown to Nancy and her family was greatly appreciated.
Nancy is survived by her step-children Stephanie Kite, Robert Rush, Jr. and Connie Rush James of Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 16 years, Robert M. Rush; six brothers, Harry Jr, Russell, Ray, Robert, Charles, and Allen, and five sisters, Rose Murner, Nellie Mae Plants, Ellen Thompson, Alice Craig, and Sara Lee Keglovich.
Family and friends are invited to Fountainhead Funeral Home at 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL. on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:30 to honor the life of Nancy. The family will receive visitors 30 minutes prior to the service.
