Neville George McDougall passed away peacefully on February 14th, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida. Neville will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters, Lydia (Lawford), Pamela (Steven), Sheena (Stanley), and Ann Marie (Hesketh), and his stepson James. He was also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Neville was born in the Parish of St. Mary in Jamaica and moved to England in the 1950’s, at the young age of 20 years old. He was married to the late Frances Gloria Tomlinson, mother of his daughters, for approximately 20 years, and was later married to Jennifer White, who was the mother of James, for approximately 14 years.
Although Neville’s first employment in England was as a factory worker, he eventually attended vocational college and became a certified heating/ventilation and plumbing technician and worked in the field of construction for over 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid gardener who had an amazing “green thumb” and took joy in planting and cultivating. He loved working in his allotment where he spent much of his time, especially after retirement, tending the soil and growing a variety of vegetables and plants
In 2019, Neville moved to the United States to be closer to his four daughters who all resided in the States. The family would like to extend their heart felt appreciation to the Hospice of Health First, and the Vierra Hospital ICU and floor nurses who tenderly attended to Neville in his last days.
A memorial service for Neville will take place at the Fountainhead Funeral Home (7359 Babcock St., Palm Bay, Florida, 32909) at 1 pm. Visitation will be between 11 am and 1 pm, with interment to follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park at approximately 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of his love for planting and cultivating, we invite you to plant a tree.
