Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore “Ted” Rabidou Sr., and Marguerite Rabidou, and by his brothers, Gerald and Theodore Jr. Rabidou.
Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marianne Rabidou; his children, Richard Jr. and Tracy; his grandchildren, Samantha Reusch, Kyle, Ryan, and Tim Rabidou; his sister, Denise Rabidou Rueda; his brothers, Donald and Dennis Rabidou; many nieces and nephews; and three great-grandchildren.
Richard graduated from Marlborough High School in Marlborough, Massachusetts, after which he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served honorably in the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Sergeant during his service. He absolutely loved sharing stories from his time in the military.
An entrepreneur at heart, Richard owned and operated food trucks, owned and managed restaurants, and later opened a well pump business with his father and son. He built and lived in his first home in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, and later built a second home in Twentynine Palms, California, before moving to Palm Bay, Florida, in the early 2000s to be closer to family.
Richard loved his family and friends, cooking, celebrating holidays, action and western movies, history, anything military-related, and his pets. He especially enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving dinners and summer cookouts for many years, welcoming all who could attend.
Richard will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his country, and the lasting impact he had on all those who knew him.
