He was born on July 24, 1951 in HaDong, Vietnam. His high school years were cut short due to the Vietnam war. After surviving an explosion of his naval ship and the war had ended, he was sponsored by a church to come to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1975.
That year, he also met his wife, Dung Dong, at a mutual friends gathering. They went on to have one daughter, Minty Nguyen.
After almost 30 years as an electronics technician at Alcatel, Tony retired in 2013. He spent his time fishing, gardening and spoiling his grandchildren whom he cherished more than anything.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dong Nguyen, his daughter Minty Nguyen, son-in-law, Craig Whitley and his favorites, his grandchildren, Vivienne and Arlan Whitley.
A visitation for Tony will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909,
