He was born in Hankinson, North Dakota and spent his childhood in Wadena, Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project in Oakridge Tennessee. On completion of his assignment, he was then employed at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York as a mechanical engineer where he spent 37 years before retiring.
Warren was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Palm Bay Senior Center where he enjoyed playing table tennis and socializing with other seniors. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking, and sailing with his family.
He is predeceased by his wife Joan Krause, to whom he was happily married to for 46 years. He is survived by their 4 children: Leland Krause of Palm Bay, Florida and Steven Krause of Brockport, New York; Jeanne Wilson (Richard) of Clinton, Missouri and Patricia Fowler (Russell) of Milford, Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren: Lorissa and Emerson Krause; Daniel Wilson and Amy Wilson-Darst; Russell, Michael, Jennifer, Katherine, and Amanda Fowler; and 6 great-grandchildren: Daniel, Caroline, Russell, Madison, Aiden, and Christopher. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is predeceased by 2 brothers.
The funeral service was held on July 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Palm Bay, Florida.
