Mrs. Alma was such a caring and thoughtful person. She was so kind to me and guided me and supported me in my first year teaching. I will never forget the confidence and guidance that she gave me. Even though I did not know her a long period of time, we developed a friendship.I will miss her deeply. She had a motherly way of supporting and teaching our students. Mrs.Alma had such a kind soul we will remember her always. She left such a footprint in our lives and I'm grateful for the time I got to spend it her.

You were a joy to work with and an honor to work for. I was only a sub at your school but you were one of my favorites. My heart is heavy knowing that I won't even be running into you at Trader Joe's anymore, but that's me being selfish.

Alma was one of the kindest and compassionate people I've known. She loved the children and work she & her coworkers did every day. She was calm, she was smart, and I remember when she smiled or laughed, her joy lit up the room. I have great respect for her. Dearest sister, you were taken from us too soon and we feel your physical absence like an empty hole in our hearts. But the  living memory of your unconditional love and your righteous legacy will slowly heal the sting of your physical loss. I will forever cherish your memory as I raise your niece, baby Alma Valverde, your namesake, the little angel that you dreamt of and loved before she was ever born. I will never forget your constant support, your wisdom, your kindness and the unconditional love you showed me as you welcomed me into your family.
