My sympathy to the family of Arturo and Helen Hervada.  They were remarkable people, and you were so fortunate to have them in your life.

Helen and I attended Jefferson Med. College Hosp. School of Nursing, Helen several years senior. Helen had graduated and was working in Pediatric Research when she met Arturo.  I remember them attending church together.  I was so pleased they found one another.

As a pediatric resident, "Dr. Hervada" would occasionally lecture to student nurses.  I remember him comparing some of the differing medical practices between Spain and the United States. One, was milk consumption of children in the US. He shared a story of a young woman in Spain, who had a very difficult situation with her family.  The physician used great psychology to eliminate what may have been an a family crisis.  It may be a family story to some of his family.

I do hope that your wonderful memories will give you comfort, always.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Arturo's passing. He was a wonderful man and a wonderful friend. Our love and sympathies rush to Helen.
