
Chris was born on January 8, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Alfred William and Anne (nee Wynne) Martin. He is survived by his devoted wife Anne Peterson Martin, his sister Taffy (Jean Pierre Pouzol) and his brother Tom (Eileen). His sister Maryanne McDevitt (nee Martin) and his brother Tim Martin predeceased him.
Chris graduated from Archbishop Wood High School and studied electrical engineering at Drexel University. He worked at Digital in mainframe maintenance, at PWC as a Computer Consultant, often traveling to Germany and South Korea, and at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania as Director of Computer Operations. In a joint venture, he conceived and elaborated a pioneering EV charger prediction program.
A lifelong student endowed with boundless memory, Chris read widely and could quote verbatim statistics on automobiles, computer systems, politics, history and countless other subjects.
Chris aspired to donate his mortal remains to the Gift of Life Donor Program, and his wish was realized. He will be remembered for his inimitable wit, his equanimity, his kindness and his decency.
A memorial service will be held at a later, as yet undetermined, date.
