David Godsoe

Passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 after a long fight with stage four cancer. He was cared for during that time by his caregiver and family friend, Margaret Fitori, as well as his sister, Leslie Godsoe. He was a long term employee at Giant Food Stores. He worked hard and diligently at his job. He loved spending his free time playing tennis, arcade games, and bowling. He especially loved spending time with his nephew, Elias Cabrera, while bonding over these activities. His other passion was being an avid fan of the Philadelphia Sixers and Philadelphia Eagles. He knew all of the stats on most of the top team members and rarely missed watching his favorite teams play. His humor, awesome dance moves, and love for music, especially anything from the 80s, will be missed. Preceded by death, were his mother, Lorraine Godsoe of Malvern, Pennsylvania, his father, Dexter Godsoe of Englewood, Florida and his Uncle, Richard Adams (mother’s brother) of DeLand, Florida. He leaves two older sisters; Linda Cabrera (husband, Arturo) of Fredericksburg, VA, and Leslie Godsoe of Exton, Pennsylvania, a nephew, Elias Cabrera, (wife, Elizabeth, and great nephew Lewis) of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. He also leaves his Aunt Kay of DeLand, Florida and his cousins and their families; Diane Bacon of Seattle, Washington, Judy Falcon of Deltona, Florida, Carolyn Alger of DeLand, Florida, Renee Cromwell of DeLand, Florida and Kimi Raulerson Underhill of Indian Trail, North Carolina.
