Eleanor W. Shackleford

Eleanor W. (nee Wolper) Shackleford, 81, of Wayne, PA passed away peacefully at home with her family on Monday June 11, 2012. Eleanor was the loving wife of the late Robert W. Shackleford, M.D. Eleanor was a 1951 graduate of Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing and was President of the Montgomery County Medical Society. She was a volunteer school nurse at Archbishop Carroll High School, active member of St. Isaac Jogues Parish and patron of St. Charles Seminary, Wynnewood, PA. Eleanor is survived by 4 children: Diane (Douglas) Small, Katie (James) McCarthy, Michael (Theresa) Shackleford and David (Christina) Shackleford; 1 step-son: Robert (Judy) Pearse. She was also the cherished grandmother of Bridget, Douglas, Colleen, David, Katherine, Emma, Micaela, Ian, Grace and Ryan; and dearest sister to: Daniel, Thomas, John, Dorothy and Michael Wolper and Maryanne Marks. Relatives and friends may call on Fri. June 15, 2012 at St. Isaac Jogues Church: 50 Walker Rd., Wayne, PA from 9-10:20AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30AM.
