John Ronald Hornyak of King of Prussia, PA, born February 24, 1944 to George and Mildred Hornyak of Kingston, PA, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, with his wife and daughter by his side, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
John graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy and was a member of the Phi Delta Chi fraternity. John spent most of his career as a hospital-based pharmacist working in and managing hospital pharmacies throughout Southeastern PA and Philadelphia, ultimately retiring from Delaware Community Memorial Hospital. Though he spent many years as a pharmacist, his favorite job titles were husband, dad, and PopPop. John loved summers in Ocean City, NJ, karate, traveling with his wife, and ice cream at the end of the night. John enjoyed his free time with Fred and Brett Weissberger and their impromptu family moving company. Parkinson’s could not steal his gentle nature and sense of humor.
John is survived by his wife Yu “Elma” Feng, his eldest daughter Stephanie Warlick (David) of Berwyn, PA, and his older brother G. Robert Hornyak (Joanne) of Mechanicsburg, PA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom he adored: Connie Thompson, Lauren Roussey, Amanda Roussey, Lily Warlick, and Daniel Warlick.
John was predeceased in death by his beloved daughter Meredith Roussey and his sister Mary Carol Hornyak.
He will be sorely missed by all.
Visitation will be at 9:30 am Friday March 21, 2025 at Mother of Divine Providence Church (333 Allendale Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406) with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will be immediately after at Calvary Cemetery of West Conshohocken (2025 Old Gulph Rd, Villanova, PA 19085).
