Michael was the loving husband of Patricia Magee DiPuppo and together shared over 33 years of marriage, family, and life experiences. Michael was an active member of the Pennsylvania State University’s Delta Sigma Phi fraternity and the Vietnam Veterans Association Major Louis F. Guillermin Memorial Chapter 436 of Chester County. After serving in the Navy as a deep-sea diver, he was active in the U.S. Naval Reserves, and was the Commanding Officer of Mobile Diving Salvage Unit II DET 302, until retiring on October 1, 1991.
Michael was a successful financial planner, and was the President of Devon Financial Group, Ltd., which he shared with his brothers Charles and Robert. He was a passionate Penn State, U.S. Naval Academy, and Philadelphia sports fan. He also enjoyed dancing and traveling the world with Patty, loved scuba diving, and found the most joy in being surrounded by his family and lifelong friends.
In addition to his wife, Michael leaves behind his three children: Michael DiPuppo, Jr., Julia (Daniel) Pijawka, and Kathryn (J. Rory) Tucker; three grandchildren: Christopher & Ryan Pijawka and Riley Tucker; and his three brothers: Charles (Patricia) DiPuppo, James DiPuppo (William Stat), and Robert (Suzan) DiPuppo.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 9:45 – 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church: 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
