

Patricia Leith Pillion, 77, died peacefully at her home in Wayne, PA on June 27, 2013, ending a lengthy and courageous battle with MS and its many side effects, throughout which she remained positive and engaged with her family and friends. Born on September 14, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pat was the youngest daughter of Alfred and Marion Leith of Villanova, PA. She was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Rittenhouse and Nancy Shorney.
Pat graduated from Lower Merion High School, where she was an outstanding athlete, and attended Smith College. She was a successful realtor and a very active volunteer at St. David’s Church, including serving as chair of its annual fair for several years. She was a talented artist and craftsperson, community activist and loyal friend. Pat’s other passions included spending time at Blue House Jamaica, gardening and raising her many dogs.
Pat was the glue of her loving family and is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas C. Pillion, Jr., their four sons, Thomas C. Pillion, III (and his wife Bonnie Buckley) of Ardmore, Michael L. Pillion (Sally) of Wayne, L. Andrew Pillion of Devon, and Robert W. Pillion (Jeanette) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and 11 adoring grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July, 2, 2013 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 763 Valley Forge Rd Wayne, PA 19087. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 30 S. 17th Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103
