

William C. Weidemann, age 90, was born in Narberth Pa. on June 12, 1921. He was a graduate of the Lower Merion High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in Sept. of 1941. He served in the South Pacific, was wounded in combat, awarded the Purple Heart, and honorably discharged in 1943.
After returning home, William married Jeanne R. Bonner ,(dec. Sept. of ’92) they moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands. Bill, owned and captained his own fishing boat and they spent several wonderful years there. Back in the U.S., Bill worked for the Sikorsky Helicopter Co. and Boeing Aircraft Co. where he worked on many different types of aircraft and fiberglass development projects.
He was a founding and original member of the Narberth Ambulance Co.
Bill was an artist, he enjoyed carving intricate and beautiful birds and fish from wood. He was featured several times on TV and radio for his artistic skills.
He is survived by his sons, William C. Weidemann Jr. (Sally) and James R. Weidemann (Lisa), his grandchildren Alyssa and James, and his sister Helen Beaty.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday February 27th at 10 am. At St. Norbert Church, 50 Leopard Rd. Paoli Pa. 19301. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the parish. Interment will be private. Funeral Arr. By the Alleva F.H. Inc.
