Born on April 2, 2025, in Omaha, Ayla brought immense joy, light, and love to everyone around her. She was a happy, beautiful baby — a true blessing — and deeply loved by all who met her. Though her time here was brief, her presence touched many lives, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
Ayla is survived by her devoted parents, Elena Rutherford and Riley Smith; brother Zayd; grandparents Ricky and Kathleen Rutherford, and Marla Baker and Danial Minard; great-grandmothers Peggy Rutherford and Peggy Orsi; uncles Jeremy, Chris, Kortlin, Henry, and Jordan; and aunts Valerie, Summer, Jillian, Alexis, and Jennifer.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time of profound grief.
