Bill was born on September 21, 1934 in Blair, Oklahoma to Fred and Vera (Simpson) Morgan. On August 14, 1963, he married Mary L. Jackson. They raised two children, Vince and Terry and then, in their golden years, honorably raised their granddaughter, Chelsea, as their own.
Bill had a passion for laughing and making others laugh. Even nearing death, he was charming the nurses and comforting his family. A sports fanatic, Bill cheered the loudest for his native Oklahoma teams but he loved watching the Texas Rangers the best. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
In the year preceding his death, he was able to move with his bride into his daughter and son-in-law’s Omaha home, (Chelsea and David Humphreys) and spent his last holiday season with a white Christmas and lots of love and laughter with his great grandchildren, Eli and Emelyn Humphreys. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Fred, his mother, Vera, brothers Freddy, Benny, Jimmy, Bobby and sister Vera Mae Mays. He is survived by his wife Mary, his three children, Chelsea, Terry, and Vince, his sister Doris, loved ones Carla Howard, Morgan Mays, Lori Howard, Morgan Howard and Mandy Hall and several more special cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at justgiving.com/Chelsea-Humphreys so that someday, others won’t have to suffer with this disease.
