Born to Wendell Turner and Joyce Turner (Wagner), Cindy lived a life defined by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and enduring curiosity. She is lovingly remembered by her eldest son, Andrew; her youngest son, Michael; her daughter-in-law, Kelly; and her six cherished grandchildren—Emilynn, Isaiah, Isaac, Rachel, Luke, and Jacob—who brought her immense pride and joy.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Dodd; her daughter, Melissa Dodd; and her siblings, Larry Starmer, Gary Starmer, and Dennis Starmer.
A graduate of Papillion-La Vista High School, Class of 1976, Cindy built a diverse professional career, contributing her skills as an office assistant, bookkeeper, and receptionist. Outside of work, she found great happiness in the simple things she loved most—her cat Bear, country music, and a lifelong passion for genealogy. For more than 30 years, she dedicated herself to researching ancestry, leaving behind a meaningful legacy for future generations in the Nebraska community.
Though her passing leaves a deep void, Cindy’s warmth, resilience, and love will remain with all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, 441 North Washington Street, Papillion, Nebraska. Visitation with family will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a private memorial service for family and close friends.
