Danny L. DeVries

April 27, 1948 - September 14, 2012

Passed away in Omaha, NE, surrounded by his family, connected in hands and hearts. Danny retired from Kellogg’s in 2007, after 31 years of dedicated service.

Danny was preceded in death by Arthur Hyatt and Bonita Nadine (West) DeVries. Danny is survived by his wife Janet (Mach) DeVries; daughter Danette Davey (Patrick) of Papillion, NE; son Shawn DeVries (Noel Crader) of Bennington, NE; and adoring granddaughter, Megan Davey of Papillion, NE. He passed away the same way he lived his life, with honor, dignity, courage, laughter and kindness. He will be so very missed.

Danny’s life will be celebrated with a visitation held at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary in Papillion, NE on Monday, September 17 from 1:00 – 8:00 pm with family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and a funeral service will be held at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary in Papillion, NE on Tuesday, September 18, starting at 2:00 pm. Interment Cedar Dale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. In Danny’s honor, the family requests blood and platelet donations be made to the American Red Cross donation centers - to make deposits for our withdrawals.
