Glenn K. Beedon was born on May 16, 1949 in Evergreen Park, IL to Kenneth and Jeanne Beedon.
Glenn served in the United States Air Force as a Computer Programmer from 1967 to 1988, living in Greece, Korea, Texas, Michigan, and finally Nebraska. After retiring from the USAF, he worked at ENCOR (now DUET) assisting physically/mentally handicapped individuals in daily living and recreational activities. After leaving ENCOR, he worked for Educational Services Unit #3 as a Paraprofessional at Heartland School and eventually closing out his career life at Brook Valley South in 2014/2015.
He was a member of the Omaha Walking Club from 2002 to 2009, serving as President in 2006 and 2007 and volunteered at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy, and Town and Country Humane Society. Glenn loved spending time with his family, rooting on his grandkids in school and sports, enjoyed being one with nature, and bringing people together with his homemade beef jerky and his mom's coffee cake.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Jeanne Beedon.
He is survived by his children, David and Suzanne; grandchildren, Chloe and Madison Beedon, Jordan and Caleb Palma; sister, Lynn (Donald) Housman; nephew, Donald (Kristie) Housman Jr.
VISITATION Thursday August 25, from 5-7pm at the Mortuary.
