Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee (Dill) Cook passed away peacefully September 23, 2024 at Hillcrest Cottages in Papillion, NE. Jackie was born January 15, 1936 to Clair Carter "Jack" and Violet Emelia (Swenson) Dill. Jackie graduated from College View High School in 1953 and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1957 majoring in Home Economics. Jackie met Hollis U. "Cookie" Cook in 1955 on a blind date, the couple married June 21,1957, making Lincoln their home until they moved to Papillion, NE in 1958.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister-in-law and niece. Survived by Son Alan (Betty) Cook Daughter Dianne (Scott) Bond. Grandchildren Edward (Gabby) Tuite, Katherine Tuite, Ashley Brooks, Christopher (April) Brooks, Ryan Cook, Brayden Bond and Caden Bond. Great-granddaughters Meghan Tuite, Alyssa Fry, Emma Erickson, Virginia Erickson, and Paisley Reeder. Many nieces and nephews, honorary sister-in-laws Patricia Davidson, Joyce Kunert, and Norma Wolfe.
Visitation will start at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am Friday, November 8, 2024 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 8100 Giles Road, LaVista, NE. Following the memorial service will be an inurnment at 1:00 PM at Cedar Dale Cemetery, 78th & Cedar Dale Road, Papillion, Nebraska 68046.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jackie's memory may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
