Shirley Jean Buskirk (Petersen) was welcomed into her Forever Home on May 12, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. She was 82. Shirley was born on November 16, 1936 to Harold and Marie Petersen.
Preceded in death by parents; sister, Marcy (Mann); brother, Harold “Pete” Petersen, and daughter-in-law, Tracy Buskirk.
Survived by husband Tom; children, Thomas (Jody), Richard, Michael (Rochelle), and Linda (Jeff) Reicks; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Clark “Corky” (Linda) Petersen; brother-in-law, Robert Mann; sister-in-law, Charlene Petersen; and many relatives and friends.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 3-8pm, with the family 6-8pm, all at First United Methodist Church in Springfield.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church, 480 Main St., Springfield, NE.
Interment in Springfield Cemetery.
