Stephen “Steve” Christopher Schapker, 56, a resident of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO surrounded by those who loved him. He was born May 6, 1968, to Fred and Sharon Buchanan in Bellevue, NE.
Steve was a 1986 graduate of Papillon High School. He received his bachelor's degree at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and MBA from Bellevue University, Bellevue, NE. Steve was currently employed by Amazon in Blue Springs, MO. He previously spent time working at AT&T Mfg. in Omaha, NE and Platinum Title of Leawood, KS. Steve treasured spending time with his beloved family.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Katie Fuhs and her husband, Jake of Omaha, NE; grandson, Callahan Fuhs of Omaha, NE; mother, Sharon Buchanan of Blue Springs, MO; father, Fred Schapker of Papillon, NE; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Steve was a good man, loved by family and friends. Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Schapker.
A Memorial Visitation for Steve will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Kahler Dolce Mortuary, 441 North Washington Street, Papillion, NE.
A Committal Service will follow at Cedardale Cemetery in Papillion, NE.
