Died August 20, 2015 surrounded by the presence and love of her family. Winnie was born in Waterbury, Nebraska on December 11, 1924 to Gertrude Gladys (Taylor) Howell & John Harold Howell. She married H.H. “Butch” Van Fleet on October 12, 1945.
Preceded in death by husband:Butch, parents, sister:Juanita Schum, and granddaughter Christine Bagley.
Survived by her three sons: Larry Alan (Deborah) Van Fleet, Daryl Lee (Wanda) Van Fleet, Gary Reed Van Fleet; loving ex-daughter-in-laws: Rita Van Fleet, Donna Van Fleet, & Shelly Juett. Grandchildren: Elise (Scott) McHatton, Laura (Wesley) Bates, Hannah (Jason) Mares, Nathan Van Fleet and Ashley Van Fleet. 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. Sister-in-law: Jean Van Fleet and brother-in-law: Elmer Van Fleet.
Funeral Service Monday August 24 1:00 pm Kahler-Dolce Mortuary. Visitation: Sunday 2-4 pm at Mortuary. Interment: Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials to DeSoto Bend Wiildlife Refuge.
