Dora Ann Stidham

Dora Ann Stidham, 83, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Paris Regional Medical Center. The family has scheduled memorial services for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22nd, at First Baptist Church in Paris with Dr. Tommy Turner, Rev. Ken Cannon and Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mrs. Stidham, the daughter of Cornelius and Anna Krahn Janzen, was born April 13, 1933, in Windham, MN. She graduated from Paris Junior College and received her Bachelor’s degree and Master of Science degree in elementary education from East Texas State University. Her career as a school teacher spanned twenty-two years before her retirement. All those years were spent at Blossom. Dora was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris. She was a member of Lamar-Delta Retired Teachers and enjoyed her garden club. She married Robert H. Head, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steve Head, and a sister, Eleanor. Survivors include her husband, Leslie Stidham whom she married on Feb. 27, 1982, a son, Rick Head & wife Laura of Fayetteville, TN, a step-son, Russell Stidham of Paris, a daughter-in-law, Merita Head of Paris, grandchildren; Jessica Perry & husband Korey of Roxton, Lacie Hinkle & husband Chris of McKinney, Aneshia Thompson & husband Jack of Palestine, Tony Head of Dunedin, FL, Heleena Campbell of Branson, MO, Rickey Head of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Kellie Roby & husband Carl of Rockwall, Leslie Wadsworth & husband Spencer of Los Angeles, CA, and Erica Head, great grandchildren; Kaydence Perry, Kinlyn Perry, Kotton Perry, Cassie Brock, Colby Hinkle, Kasen Hinkle, Matthew Hinkle, Taylor Hinkle, Baili Gomez, Chase Wright, Riley Head, Hailey Head, Jonathan Duran, Christian Campbell and Sophia Campbell, great great grandchildren, Zoey Gomez and Noah Gomez, siblings; Ed Janzen & wife Loretta of Cotton, MN, Jerry Janzen & wife Eunice of Ava, MO and Janet Lugar & husband Dick of Arkansas along with numerous nieces & nephews and a plethora of friends.
