Faye Mae Pulliam McGee

Faye Pulliam McGee, 95, of Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 8, 2015. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for noon on Friday, June 12th at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jack Graham officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled; however those wishing to pay respects may sign Mrs. McGee’s guestbook at the funeral home. She was born Feb. 13, 1920, in Depew, OK, to Lem and Edna Root Pulliam. Upon her mother’s death, when she was six months old, she was reared by an uncle and aunt, Luther and Sallie Pulliam Meeks in Doniphan, MO, where she attended school. Faye married Jesse McGee, who was serving in the U. S. Military, on Feb. 18, 1946, in Coleman, TX. She lived in many parts of the United States, having followed her husband’s ten-year military career and various employment opportunities. The McGee’s returned to Paris in 1963. She was employed by Hollywood Vasserette for 16 years before retirement. She was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, in March 1990; her parents; two brothers, Melvin Pulliam and Ezra Pulliam; and two sisters, Leota Reed and Maxine Revis. Survivors include her son, Blaine Goss of Trinity, a sister-in-law, Mattie Pulliam of Cleveland, OK, two granddaughters, Vickie Cox and husband Jimmy of Boyd and Valarie Goss of Colleyville; two great grandchildren, Scott Cox and wife Mindy of Paradise and Sherrea Brown and husband Clint of Royce City; five great great grandchildren, Ty, Colby and Carsyn Cox, Blair and Barrett Brown, a special niece, Bonnie Salecki of Ft. Worth; and many other relatives and dear friends including Katy Allred and Dale Long both of Paris. She was a dedicated wife, devoted grandmother, and loyal friend. Always busy, some of her enjoyable activities included an inviting home, raising a vegetable garden, canning, preserving, cooking, sewing, quilting, yard work, flowers and plants. She will be greatly missed.
