She was voted Secretary of her Senior Class, as well as Sweetheart of the F.F.A. Frankie married James “Jim” Young on February 15, 1953 in Glory, Texas and they had two daughters, Charlotte and Sheila. Frankie was a phenomenal cook and anyone who knew her can attest that her fried chicken, cakes, pies, and biscuits and gravy were out of this world. Frankie and Jim were passionate gardeners and spent countless hours tending to their flower beds and vegetable patch. They enjoyed sharing the bounty of their garden with friends and family up right up until the very end. Frankie also loved traveling with Jim, her sister Virgie and brother in-law James. Nothing made her happier than viewing the wildflowers or walking along the beaches with the people dearest to her. She was beloved by her two granddaughters, Destiny and Morgan, and actively helped raise them throughout their lives, as well as her cherished nieces, Emilee, Sara and Chelsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in December 2016, as well as her parents.
