

George H. Williams 93, died Saturday, May 16,2026 following a brief illness. Funeral services are set for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Bright Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gregory Chambers officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Bright Holland Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
He was born on January 22,1933 in Paris, Texas. He was the son of Carlie and Callie Dodson Williams.
He graduated from Paris High School and married his sweetheart Carolyn Weaver on November 28,1954. George worked with his father at Williams Gin, then at Goodyear Tires. He worked for Mackey and Pierson for 30 years until his retirement. After retirement he worked with/for Wayne Brown at Best Western and the Pshigoda Foundation.
He served in the National Guard, former member of the Optimist Club, charter member of Elk’s, Paris Golf and Country Club and Sheriff’s Posse. He was an avid golfer. Later in life, you would find him with friends at the Dairy Queen, on Lamar, having coffee at their special table.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn, daughter Cindy Huddleston, grandson Micah and wife Tina along with several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, son Scott, son-in-law Tommy Huddleston, sister Charline Yanen and husband George Yanen.

Pallbearers will be David McClure, Steven McClure, Micah Huddleston and Brian Genovise.
