
Jack Larry Greenfield was born in Brownfield, Texas, where he lived until the seventh grade. At that time, his parents, Lucian & Veda Greenfield bought a ranch and moved to Tatum, New Mexico, where Jack graduated from high school. He attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, receiving his Master's degree. He retired from USAA in 2003. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. Jack married Natessia Robertson in 1952 in Portales. They lived in various places in New Mexico and Texas through the years, finally moving to Powderly, Texas. He passed away at the family home on September 27, 2016. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4th, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy Schreurs officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery. A formal visitation is not scheduled. He is survived by his wife, a daughter Carol Greenfield, a son, Bobby Greenfield, two grandsons, Christopher, and Chase and wife, Kayla, one great grandson, Brycen, two sisters, Pat Lamb of Aurora, CO, and Ellen Faye Hammons of Albuquerque, NM, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucian and Veda Greenfield, and two brothers, Cliff (Odie) Greenfield and Lucian (June) Greenfield, Jr. Jack was highly esteemed by all who knew him, especially his family.
