Jackie was born, in Lubbock, on April 1, 1953, to Amos Aaron and Betty Stephen Elliott-
Spencer.
She married the love of her life, David O’Dell, on June 20, 1970. They were married for more
than 50 precious years.
Jackie, better known as Granny or Gigi, loved life and her most important treasures were her
children and grandchildren. Family was very important to her. She will be remembered for her
loving heart, witty attitude, and her love for shopping. She loved a good shopping trip, especially
to Goodwill, finding all the treasures. She also loved to travel and her favorite place to go was
Branson, specifically around Christmas time. She will be remembered for her extravagant
Christmas decorations and her love for all things Santa. The grandchildren will always
remember her as the keeper of marshmallows, always up for a McDonalds run, and the one that
would always buy them a toy, even when she was told they have enough. She will be dearly
missed by all who loved and knew her.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Amos and Betty Spencer; 2
brothers, Stephen Spencer and Lyndon Spencer. Jackie is survived by her children; Kimberly
Wright and husband Michael of Bogata, David Brian O’Dell, of Blossom, and James O’Dell and
