Jerry Ashworth Brandon, 68, of Detroit, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Dubuis Hospital. The family will schedule a celebration of his life at a later time. Bright-Holland Funeral Home is in charge of cremation. Jerry, the son of Charles Hunter Brandon & Mildred Ruth Jantzen Brandon, was born Nov. 23, 1946, in Starke, LA. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a 3rd Class Petty Officer. His career with Flour Global as a millwright spanned fifteen years. On May 16, 1998, he married Harriet Garrett at Lake Raymond Gary in Ft. Towson, OK. His parents have preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife & grandson, Harriet & Tripp of the home, children, Rick Busby of Ft. Worth, Bobby DeShazo of Arlington, Amanda DeShazo of Euless and Janetta DeShazo of Paris, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces & nephews.
