John Clinton Acree, 63, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 15th, at the Open Air Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. John, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Acree, was born Jan. 25, 1954, in Dallas. His career as a sander at Magnolia Brush in Clarksville spanned thirty-seven years before his retirement. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Debra Johnson Acree, whom he married in 1988, building twenty-seven years of family and memories, two children, Kristi Simmons of Novice and Charlie Bob Simmons, Jr. of Clarksville, grandchildren; Elizabeth Clark, Christopher Chambers, Mary Clark, Alicia Chambers and Dwayne Clark, III, one brother, Ricky Acree & wife Vickie of Clarksville along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
