John William Holt, 73, of Sumner, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at his home. The family has scheduled memorial services for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15th, at Lamar Point Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mr. Holt, the son of John William & Wilda Lemmons Holt, was born Sept. 24, 1941, in Paducah, TX. His career as a carpenter spanned many years. He was an avid fisherman & hunter and enjoyed working on his lawn mowers and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna Holt. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn June Holt, a daughter, Suzie Holt & Abel Bustos of Granite, OK, four step-children, Pamela Mills & husband Lanny of Powderly, Audrey Mills & husband Larry of Emberson, Tanya Morris of California and Bill Harris & wife Billie of Powderly, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, three brothers, David Holt & wife Crystal of Hollis, OK, Robert Holt of El Dorado, OK and Dan Crow & daughter Naomi of Minnesota, along with numerous nieces & nephews.
