

Susan Mischelle Honeycutt Monkres, 43, of Paris, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, at her home. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Susan, the daughter of David & Lois Scott Honeycutt, was born Aug. 18, 1971, in Shelby, NC. She graduated from North Lamar High School in 1989. Her career as a respiratory therapist spanned many years. Susan had a love of antiques. She was preceded in death by her father, David Honeycutt. Survivors include one son, Justin Mobley of Paris, her parents, Danny & Lois Ward of Powderly, a sister, Nita McFatridge & husband Steve of Paris, a step-brother, Chad Ward & wife Lisa of Powderly, one step-sister, Laurie Rhodes & husband Mike of Paris, two nephews, Dalton McFatridge and Chance Ward, two nieces, Skylar McFatridge and Lindsey Grubbs, great nieces & great nephew, Myla McFatridge, Tanner Grubbs, Haidyn Grubbs, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Dalton McFatridge, Ricky Grubbs, Jacob Moore, Buddy Bell, Bobby Ward and Tommy Exum. Chance Ward will serve as an honorary bearer.
