Jimmy Lee Lucas passed away on August 15, 2019 at his home in Big River with his family by his side. Jimmy was born on October 1, 1934 in Eldon, Missouri to Charles Austin and Phoebe Jane (Cotton) Lucas. Jimmy was 3 years old when his father passed away. After he graduated from White Bird High School, Jimmy and his mother moved to Altadena, California. He went to work in the construction industry until he retired at 57 years old as a general Foreman. While living in California, Jimmy met and married Rosemary Harrington in 1957. They bought a home in La Canada, California where they lived for 44 years before moving to Big River, California. Jimmy loved to golf and travelling with his wife.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rosemary, 4 sons, Donald J. Lucas, Richard D. Lucas and his wife Sherry, Robert J. Lucas and David A. Lucas, sister Edna Mae Gearhart of Montana, 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
We will all miss you so much Jim, Dad, Grandpa and Friend.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Parker Funeral Home.
